Re: What was your favourite local derby.
In the shelf, aged 15, with my spurs mate for their celebratory FA cup first home game of the season in 1981 against a newly promoted West Ham who’d had a disappointing 1-1 draw with Brighton.
Aware of my surroundings, 0-1 a quiet “yes”; 0-2 a “fucking yes”; 0-3 unbelievable; 0-4 jumping around like a mad man- who gives a fuck!
Similar for Chelsea away in 1986. This time with my brother, opposite the main stand. Rather than a fear of having the shit kicked out of me, the West Ham pessimism had set in so I thought Chelsea would come back until the fourth goal and that’s when the, who gives a fuck, celebrations kicked in.

Another vote for Frankie Mac at the old Den! The sheer joy/passion/hatred when he scored was a joy to behold.

There was at least 7,000 Hammers there that day...MFC couldn't believe the numbers we took. The Ilderton Road End was absolutely packed solid - was a pretty dangerous crush at the end of the game and at the station afterwards.

New Jersey, I was at that game, I came over from the US to see it.

Yeah, Henry was unreal and a pathetic penalty by Kanoute.

Re: What was your favourite local derby.
Remember going to Arsenal at home in Roeder's relegation year and we played them off the park at the beginning, went two nil up through Kanoute then got a penalty which he missed! Henry then gave a master class in forward play and we ended up drawing. I'm convinced if that penalty had gone in we wouldn't have been relegated!!

Re: What was your favourite local derby.
Enjoyed a lot of the ones mentioned.
Didn’t go the mcavennie one though.
Went the ‘79 night game. (Another helter skelter ride!).

The other couple that spring to mind are the 80 League cup 1/4 final home to tottenham. Pure evil in the air that night. (1-0 psycho).

And the youth cup final 2nd leg at WHL. (Still took the piss in the shelf that night AND won the cup on aggregate!).

‘appy days.
